British Gas Great North Swim - 18th June 2011 This is currently the UK's biggest outdoor swim with 10,000 swimmers registered so far. Nia will be swimming the 1 mile 'wave' at Windermere on Saturday the 18th June 2011. This will be my first outdoor swim - I currently swim over a mile once a week so hoping to cover the distance and last the course but either way it will be an experience but mainly doing it to raise money.
